I put my seat cushion in it if I want to protect it from storms, wind or sun.Side note, I hide the key to my pool supply chest in the storage area of this chair, so my toddler cant get it. I needed something durable and affordable. This works in so many ways - well, once the 6 weeks of rain my area got two days after I had this put together! lol. But now, I come home from work and can relax on my apartment deck and unwind a bit. Or in the mornings, I slip outside with my coffee as the world wakes up.
